Clients say to me ‘I just want to be dark as possible’ or ‘not an orange just a light glow’
That’s not a problem, I got you.
But,
I work my shades different and that’s how you can get a bespoke spray tan.
I try go by undertones, colour theory and the Fitzpatrick scale to see if I need to use violet base or green based undertone solution or what I can mix around for the shade my client wants.
The Fitzpatrick Scale is based on 6 skin types and relates to a skins susceptibility to the sun. It is also a great tool for determining what percentage of DHA would be best to avoid over development. When used in conjunction with their underlying skin tone I can easily determine which solution to use.
If your veins appear green - in theory you are a warmer skin tone and your skin type will quickly bronze or darken in the sun, so your skin tone would suit a tanning solution from within the violet range. This can go from a medium to ultra dark colour in my solutions.
If your veins appear blue or purple the best tanning base for your skin tone is a tanning solution from my Green Base range to counteract any pink hue your skin will throw leaving you with the most natural looking tan.
So that’s how I create a bespoke spray tan just for you 🤎
